All matches will be played on the latest official version of TEKKEN 8 using Organizer-approved tournament settings. Tournament Administration reserves the right to modify the bracket, schedule, match format, or stage progression where necessary to preserve competitive integrity, accommodate operational requirements, or comply with Bandai Namco tournament policies.
MATCH RULES
All matches will use the official VBG TEKKEN 8 Ruleset. Unless otherwise announced:

- ✓Round Time: 60 Seconds
- ✓Match Format: Best of 3
- ✓Stage Selection: Random
- ✓Stage Hazards: Enabled (Official Default)
- ✓Character Customization: Disabled (Default Costumes Only)
- ✓Special Style Controls: Allowed unless otherwise announced by Tournament Administration
Players must use tournament-approved game settings throughout the event.
Stage & Character Selection
- ✓Players may freely select any available character before the first game.
- ✓Azucena Outfit 4 is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in player disqualification.
- ✓Stage selection will be random unless Tournament Administration specifies otherwise.
- ✓The winner of each game must keep the same character.
- ✓The losing player may change characters.
- ✓Side selection follows official tournament procedures.
- ✓Any game interruption before meaningful gameplay begins may be restarted at Tournament Administration's discretion.
- ✓Tournament Administration reserves the right to modify stage or character rules following official Bandai Namco updates.
- ✓Players must compete using their own registered PlayStation Network account where applicable.
- ✓Players must satisfy the minimum age requirement established by the Organizer and any applicable local laws.
- ✓Only registered players may participate. Player substitutions are not permitted after bracket publication unless approved by Tournament Administration.
- ✓Players must complete tournament check-in before the published deadline.
- ✓Tournament schedules, check-in windows, and match times are flexible and may change at any time. Players are responsible for monitoring the tournament website and official communication channels.
- ✓Players must report immediately to their assigned tournament station when called.
- ✓Failure to report within the designated grace period may result in a game loss, match forfeiture, or disqualification.
- ✓Players may use wired controllers or officially supported fight sticks. Wireless devices may only be used with Tournament Administration approval.
- ✓Players are responsible for bringing any controllers, adapters, converters, or accessories they require.
- ✓Controllers must be disconnected immediately after each match to avoid interfering with other tournament stations.
- ✓Players may configure controller buttons before each match but may not intentionally delay tournament operations.
- ✓Only default game settings approved by Tournament Administration may be used.
- ✓Character customization that alters gameplay visibility, hitboxes, or competitive clarity is prohibited. Tournament Administration may restrict cosmetic customization where necessary.
- ✓The use of macros, turbo functions, scripting, rapid-fire devices, modified controllers, or any hardware or software that automates gameplay is strictly prohibited.
- ✓Players may not intentionally exploit bugs, glitches, unintended mechanics, or software vulnerabilities to gain a competitive advantage.
- ✓Players are responsible for ensuring their controllers function correctly before the match begins.
- ✓Tournament Administration may request controller inspections, screenshots, recordings, or additional evidence during investigations.
- ✓Players must immediately comply with all instructions issued by referees and Tournament Administration.
- ✓Tournament Administration reserves the right to modify tournament procedures, schedules, or operational rules whenever necessary.
- ✓Violation of tournament rules may result in warnings, game losses, match forfeitures, disqualification, prize forfeiture, or suspension from future VBG events.
- ✓By participating, players acknowledge and agree to these Tournament Rules, Bandai Namco's tournament policies where applicable, and all rulings issued by Tournament Administration.
Strictly Prohibited Actions
Cheating through software, hardware modifications, scripting, macros, turbo controllers, rapid-fire devices, or any unauthorized gameplay assistance.
Using modified controllers or accessories that provide an unfair competitive advantage.
Account sharing or impersonation.
Match fixing, collusion, intentionally throwing matches, or manipulating tournament results.
Coaching during active games unless specifically permitted by Tournament Administration.
Receiving outside assistance during official matches.
Exploiting gameplay bugs, glitches, unintended mechanics, or software vulnerabilities.
Disconnecting tournament equipment, interfering with another player's controller, or tampering with tournament hardware.
Harassing, threatening, bullying, intimidating, or abusing players, officials, staff, sponsors, or spectators.
Hate speech, racism, sexism, religious discrimination, homophobia, or any other discriminatory behavior.
Sexual harassment or inappropriate comments, gestures, or conduct.
Doxxing or sharing another participant's personal information without consent.
Offensive player names, team names, logos, costumes, branding, or profile content deemed inappropriate by Tournament Administration.
Damaging tournament equipment, PlayStation consoles, monitors, controllers, networking equipment, or broadcast infrastructure.
Intentionally delaying matches, refusing to play, or failing to comply with Tournament Administration instructions.
Gambling, bribery, fraud, phishing, or attempting to improperly influence tournament officials.
Streaming or broadcasting official tournament matches without Organizer approval where broadcasting restrictions apply.
Any illegal activity under the laws of the State of Qatar.
Any conduct considered unethical, unsportsmanlike, or detrimental to the integrity or reputation of the tournament.
Disciplinary Action

Serious violations involving cheating, controller modification, collusion, harassment, violence, or refusal to cooperate with an investigation may result in immediate disqualification. All Tournament Administration decisions are final.
Technical Issues
- • A fully functioning controller or fight stick
- • Correct tournament account access where applicable
- • Familiarity with tournament settings
- • Readiness before the scheduled match
Tournament Administration may authorize a game restart only if a verified tournament-side hardware or software issue significantly affects competitive integrity. Personal controller malfunctions, accidental button configuration errors, or player equipment failures do not automatically warrant a replay. Any technical issue must be reported immediately before gameplay continues.

Participants grant Leisure LLC the right to photograph, record, livestream, broadcast, and use their name, gamertag, likeness, voice, gameplay footage, interviews, and event appearances for promotional, archival, marketing, and commercial purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by applicable law.
